Day 5 - 7/28/11

Today is the second day, and looks like the final day of dismantling the interior. As well as a little cleaning in between too.  More inspections of the roof around the rear window, it looks a little worse that we anticipated. Surprisingly the headliner is still in really nice shape, but trying to get it out in one piece will be another adventure.

Lots and lots of pine needles!
Rust chunks and more pine needles.
The brush and dust pan didn't cut it.
All clean.
All clean.
Got my handy dandy prying device.
Half way off.
Needed some assistance.
He's done this before.
Took the rear upper panels out as well.
Took the rear glass out, quite simple. The windshield will be another story!
A little weather stripping. She'd be rusty!
Chillin in my trunk unbolting the defroster.
Rear defroster, factory option and yes it works, just needs a new fuse.
No more package tray.
We'll save it for now, it'll be replaced but we'll probably need the under pad for the new one.
Mid way through the process.
Only six screws and clips holding the dash on.
The dash came out a lot easier than I anticipated.
Looks kind of cool inside, I can replace the headlight switch very easily now.
Door prior to handle being taken off.
Handles came off fairly easy. The driver's side kind of scraped my arm trying to get the bolts.
Chevelle catalog, we'll probably order some stuff up eventually.
No more disassembly today, time for bed.
