Day 4 - 7/27/11

Today after some polishing is the start of taking the interior apart for cleaning and patch work of the roof. This is when the real fun begins.

Steel wool can do wonders!

Polishing away!

Polished the two middle stainless inserts.
Letting her get a breather.
My dad put his 55 in the other garage.
I get the whole garage to myself until winter! Time to disassemble her even more!
Sittin in the middle of the garage waiting to be taken apart.
Most of the parts taken off thus far.
Unbolting the seat and belts.
The previous owner put over a half an inch of washers under the rear of the front seat to bring it closer to the wheel. We'll take those out.
Taking the seat out!
We went this way to avoid the steering wheel.

No more seat.
Time for the rotten, stinky carpets to go.
No more rear seat.

Insulation.
All gone.
Original build sheet form the factory. We found one under the rear seat and one under the carpet. This is the better of the two. Specially customer ordered!
Another shot of no more carpet or seats.
The parts area is progressively getting larger!
Taking out the rear seat belts.
Rear lower panels taken out.

Door panel prior to disassembly.
Armrests on both doors taken off, just a little dirty.
Door handle taken off.
All four window cranks taken off with help of this cool tool.
Got to stay organized, very simple way too.
Disassembly will continue tomorrow, time for bed.
